Some the most common issues with openers are stripped drive gear
or broken sprocket
and both the gear or the complete assembly can be replaced. Broken or loose chains
can be replaced or have tension added if not broken. Openers also have a capacitor
for the motor to provide additional power to the motor
and these often fail and need to be replaced. Problems with the logic board
can present in different ways: sporadic up and down movement of the opener, remotes no longer communicating, light not working correctly, and a non-responsive unit. Board replacement is often recommended for newer units that may have experienced a power surge. Our technicians have been repairing and replacing openers in the greater Houston area for over ten years and would be happy to to help you today!
